GenCore Level I

GenCores are responsible for generating planetary shields to protect the system from orbital bombardment. Type I GenCores are an excellent choice for planetary defense, but are expensive to maintain.

Notes:	An attacking fleet must overcome the cumulative shield power with its combined bombardment rating to do any damage. Two or more shield installations on a planet prevent a ground assault.
