  • Finding Earth Eater
I completed two areas the Calm Lands and Macalania Woods but the Earth Eater is not avalable for me to fight. I can fight the Espada and the Chimerageist and I got the prizes for the two areas but I did not get 60 Three Stars and the Earth Eater is not on the list.

Do I need to do two different areas? Or do I need more than one monster from each area? Or do I need to do two hidden areas like the Sunken Cave?

i believe u need a few of each moster not just one..... it believe it is 5 or 10 (all)

but it is easiest to just start from besiad and go down the list and just obtain auron's legendary...u can kill 2 birds with one stone ;)

  • Re: Finding Earth Eater
I didn't find that I had to capture 10 or even 5 of each fiend in two areas in order to fight the Earth Eater, although as it happens by the time I made it back to the trainer I had conquered substantially more than two areas.

Keep in mind that no matter how many new fiends you've unlocked, the trainer will only introduce ONE of them each time you talk to him. You need to exit the menu and talk to him again in order to receive your next introductory battle and prize.

  • Shinryu
The monster arena page claims that Shinryu requires 3 of each fiend on Mt. Gagazet; the Shinryu page claims you unlock him with 2 of each underwater fiend on Mt. Gagazet.

The discrepancy has been fixed: the Shinryu entry was correct.

  • Mars Sigil
Is the Mars Sigil acquired by beating 10 Areas (like it says here) or unlocking 10 monsters (like it syas in the celstial weapons section)? You may want to cpy this into the Celstial weapons section as well.
    Gladly Yours,
    Theo

    • Re: Help
If you didn't get Yuna's weapon when you were first on Besaid, you have to wait until you get the airship, then just fly there.

    • Re: Sooo...
Not really, sometimes, it doesn't spawn in one map, but does in another (in the same area e.g. Gagazet Trails & Mountain Cave.
Maybe walk around a bit more? Works for me, at least.

  • Monster Arena
Thank you for posting all the info about the Monster Arena. This is actually the 3rd time playing Final Fantasy X because it is one of my favorite. But after a few years between playing I forget a lot of the details such as the requirements for monster arena. I had a heck of a time finding anyone that had a good list of what monster gave what prize when capturing so many but you had everything in such detail that I was very impressed and I just wanted to say so many years after the game has been out there still is use for all the hours you put into making this page and thank you very much for all your hard work!
