• Collecting Spheres

  This monster supplies a good opportunity for high-level characters to collect strength, mana, and speed spheres easily by using distillers. Since he normally drops 20 items at a time, if you use a distiller you'll get 20 spheres per kill--40 if you overkill him.

  I can't speak for any other edition of the game, but in the U.S. release, using a distiller on any monster causes the monster to drop 1 sphere of appropriate type (2 on overkill). So, despite this monster dropping 20 some items, distillers reduce that to 1 sphere.

    Actually, you're wrong. You must have had bad luck in transforming the two Dark Matters into spheres, because I usually get 40 from him.

  for the u.k version this is different if you use either extract or distil then he will drop as you say 20 for normal kill and 40 for an overkill ive did it bout 5 mins ago and got 40 power sphere's and he isnt that difficult neither

  just use protect on whichever charecter has the highest defense, and then have that charecter use sentinal while your strongest hitter pounds on him, and the third person heals as often as needed. haste on all ppl helps. great for farming money too, go buy a tetra shield for 100k, overkill him twice, then customize auto-regen on the tetra shield and sell it for 225k or so, a 125k profit per.
