The only way to get more wings to discovery is to bribe a Malboro or a Malboro King. I don't remember the amount, but the Malboro king give you twice as much wings but for twice as much amount of gil. Another way is to beat Shinryu at the monster arena. He usually drops 1 but 2 if you overkill him.

you can get 30 of them easy at the chocobo race at remiem temple. just get 3 chests, dont hit poles and win (works only once, second time and later will only be potion).

Not so useless
30 of them will give you Break HP Limit on Armour, 50 woll give you Triple AP ability on a weapon.
Most of the things you say are useless have multiple uses for armour/weapons.
