I think it's an awesome site, the details you find there are enormous, personolaly i think it's the best Final Fantasy site on the whole web.
I used the ff8 ff9 and ffx section so many times, and i can't wait until the ffx-2 page is ready to go

Curious
I have to agree with the prior post, but how did it get all this info??? From other sites, or just find out on its own? Despite, it is a great site and has my appreciation.

Re: Curious
Regarding how I got all the information on this site, I consulted a wide variety of resources including official and unofficial websites and strategy guides, but most of the info was gleaned from simply playing through the games over and over.

not bad
not bad...not bad...but it would be better if it had more details and the creator added his own opinions about bosses, battles, ect.

A wonderful site
I must be a bit redundant by repeating what everyone else to have posted here has said: this site is amazing. I've recommended it to all of my friends also playing any of the listed games and they concur. 'Tis marvelous. All that said, I do tend to agree with the comment from bob the builder that this site could have a little more. Not commentary, necessarily, but info for specific attacks that you've found useful against particular bosses or other enemies. With a site as grand as this it's the little things like that that stand out, that's just a part of human nature. This, though, is where us users of the site should chip in under the various "Post" headings, I suppose, that we might aid each other and make this site even better than it is, ne?
Thank you for the astounding site.

Thank You
I stumbled across your site while looking for information on FFX. This site was created exactly how I would have imagined a perfect source for games. The information you site and the ease of cross linking everything makes this at the top of my lists for any gaming site now. Thank you for your hard work on the games you have put up, and I look forward to using your future games as well.

Message Board
This message board system is very cool, especially now that people are starting to make specific posts.
It would be nice though to have a link to the database entry that the posts are linked to, currently if I am reading a post about an enemy I have to go back to all enemies and then find that specific monster.

This website is by far one of the best sites for Final Fantasy 10 for specific information about the game's hidden items, aeons, weapons, ect.

Wow, i am really impressed, but...
I love the Website and all that it has... Now... The only problem i have run into is... you could find some pictures of some monsters, and also add in some atributes for them... like... Yunaleska has a weakeness to White Magic, not as in cure... But as in Holy is SUPER on her, it takes seconds with full Aeons, and the Spell Holy =P hehe, any ways, yeah... stuff like that might be helpfull for the 10 mil HP fights....

International version.
This is a very good job you've done here. But I think you can do better than this by giving detail for the international version. As you know, the NA version is incomplete(no dark aeon and Penanace).Be perfect.

Another category?
First I have to say that all the crosslinking, sorting, and comment features are fantastic. It is the perfect design for this kind of site.
My suggestion is to classify monsters by their class as well. So that in "Unlocked at the Monster Arena by capturing 4 of each wizard species" for example, the "wizard" would link to a list of all the wizard enemies.

I'm missing somthing :(

Zanmato + Dark Aeons
The dark aeons are missing because they are only available in the European version, not the international version. This site seems to be about the international copy of FFX. However, for Zanmato, you increase the chance of Yojimbo doing it by having him in overdrive. The more gil you pay him, the more likely he is to do it. usually pay 10 000 + for a decent chance.

International version of FFX
Hi, Just referring to the post above, by FFXFREAK: the international version and the european versin both have the dark aeons.
Also, for Yojimbo, I always pay him 1 gil, and I was fighting at the monster arena (against a Stratoavis) and he performed Zanmato normally every turn (I tested this for 4 battles).
He sometimes also takes a turn without me paying him anything - but rarely performs Zanmato in these situations (only 2 times so far)

on Jul 24, 2004 07:07:41
A little mistake with my earlier post (see above)
Yojimbo performed Zanmato every second turn in a battle (thus ending it) - and I never pay him more than 1 gil.

how do you...
i have played ffx , but i came up with a problem: to get auron's ultimate weapon: you have to put the sword in the statiue, no problem here, but then, thouth the glyph, then it says in the game: "it won't open" how come? is it because im to weak, ability or beacause of standard grid play?
tnx, and sorry baut my englisch, im from belgium

Auron's Ultimate Weapon
Responding to "rebelrider"'s post, you need to possess the celestial mirror to open the glyph. Win the cloudy mirror in the chocobo race, and then go to Macalania Woods to turn it into the Celestial Mirror.

Customize
First off i would like to say, it's one awesome site, and it's helped me out alot in finding most of the secrets in the game, but one more big help would be to add a section on Customizing and Aeon Abilities. Like i would like just for someone to stat which Customize need how much of what(same with aeon abilities), that would help alot, thanks

All kinds
Hiya
I downlaoded this page off the net cuz it was the best that was around here, and my internet got cut off for a while :(
while being without internet yet having this site I was missing a couple off things tho which will be stated below also with 1 or 2 corrections :p
Keep up the great work man, it really rox, nice look to it, good info, although some personal input would have been nice like how you fight and think about certains battles
Excuses for the huge post in advance, and if ya see typo's here, ignore em :p
Maybe something for a hint/tips section:
all require being in monster area and having unlocked alot already :p

Easy xp:
If possible equip an armor with auto-phoenix or you will be casting alot off life's
equip a weapon with triple AP, triple overdrive and overdrive -> ap
stock up with phoenix downs before starting ( depending on howmany you got left, you will get about 10-20 hits in with auto-haste
2 overdrives on comrade and one on stoic ( the one you're gonna attack with )
then battle against Don Tonberry with that one character, and see your slvl's grow ( you can flee when he is not doing karma anymore )

Easy Spheres:
when you unlocked your break damage limit, fight against Fafnir ( kottos will work aswell although he counters attacks ) using atleast ONE extract attack
instant 20 spheres ( 40 if you overkill ) unless its a rare drop then only 1 or 2 :(
if you didnt learn the extract abilities you can buy extract stuff from the shop
Easy Gil:
after unlocking break damage limit One-Eye seems a pretty good monster to gain gil from (about 50-100k per kill)
unlimited unlike that smelly mimic
Also, Sleep Sprout seems like a good choice if you think One-Eyes die too slow :p plus its a ncie place for gathering teleport spheres which no matter how high you are you will always want

....
Easy Tidus Overdrive unlocking:
cant wait to get all Tidus's overdrives?
when you get a triple overdrive weapon ( preferably 2 )
put overdrive mode on victor on 2 characters
this will allow you an overdrive each battle (tested vs species conquests)
entrust the overdrive from characters other then tidus to him, overdrive it, and build up the overdrive count very quickly this way

easy xp items:
before unlocking ultma buster ( which can be a b*tch )
Th'uban is very easy to beat with Anima there is always the same patarn it follows and a ver easy way to protect yourself against it
Preperations:
preferably weapons with triple overdrive
put overdrive gauge on comrade
you NEED entrust
- Grand summon anima
- Overdrive anima
- Th'uban casts condemn > attack > cast rainbow
- dispell anima
- either your turn again or Th'uban casts protect
- if Th'uban didnt cast protect yet he will now
- wait for Convergance to hit a character
- other 2 will power overdrive
- if Yuna got hit > entrust from 1 of the 2 other characters
- skip till Yuna again
- repeat from start untill Th'uban is dead
he only has 3mil life so should take about 3 times on a "powerfull " anima

Nice weapon droppings:
Ultima Buster - very easy if you have yer mag def on 255 as he casts Ultima ALOT one char with 255 def is advisable
Missing:
- on weapons page, where the weapons can be found / dropped
- a Spells section?!?
- a Blitzbal section?!?
- Spheregrid maps: pal and pan ( they aint the same )
- Warp spheres in omega, they wont be reachable after defeating omega weapon afaik
- EXACT locations of monsters in area's like -south -north etc because they wotn be all over the place
- there are 5 possible ways to get Zanmoto off Yojimbo, calcs are somewhere on the net, seem to have lost em
- note on Qactuar: only spawns after activating a cactuar stone by pressing square
- note on magic urn as requested ion the magic urn post
- Smilies in posts :p
- Note at 5 of all creatures capture, unlocks clear sphere's at shop
- Note killing Dark Ixion disables lightning dodging
- note on bribe, it being random + having 50% chance off success
I used the ff8 ff9 and ffx section so many times, and i can't wait until the ffx-2 page is ready to go
Thank you for the astounding site.
