This game held my interest up to the time the airship was acquired ... from there it got too easy. I had killed Seymore's final form within three rounds and got bored after that. Big let down.
I have to agree with the prior post, but how did it get all this info??? From other sites, or just find out on its own? Despite, it is a great site and has my appreciation.
Regarding how I got all the information on this site, I consulted a wide variety of resources including official and unofficial websites and strategy guides, but most of the info was gleaned from simply playing through the games over and over.
It is not my goal to provide commentary, but simply to provide the most info in as useful a way as possible to make it easier to find what you want to know. That being said, anywhere you see _Notes:_ is where I put my own comments regarding info I have found useful.
Your doing a great job this website is very useful! and have found no similar sites or site that compare to this one! i would highly recommend and have recommended this site!
Im must say that this is one of the best site I have ever been to! This site in my opinion is complete with everything you can find in ffx NA version. Its also very easy to navigate around the site too!Hope you keep this up!
I must be a bit redundant by repeating what everyone else to have posted here has said: this site is amazing. I've recommended it to all of my friends also playing any of the listed games and they concur. 'Tis marvelous. All that said, I do tend to agree with the comment from bob the builder that this site could have a little more. Not commentary, necessarily, but info for specific attacks that you've found useful against particular bosses or other enemies. With a site as grand as this it's the little things like that that stand out, that's just a part of human nature. This, though, is where us users of the site should chip in under the various "Post" headings, I suppose, that we might aid each other and make this site even better than it is, ne?
Thank you for the astounding site.

I stumbled across your site while looking for information on FFX. This site was created exactly how I would have imagined a perfect source for games. The information you site and the ease of cross linking everything makes this at the top of my lists for any gaming site now. Thank you for your hard work on the games you have put up, and I look forward to using your future games as well.
This message board system is very cool, especially now that people are starting to make specific posts.
It would be nice though to have a link to the database entry that the posts are linked to, currently if I am reading a post about an enemy I have to go back to all enemies and then find that specific monster.
I love the Website and all that it has... Now... The only problem i have run into is... you could find some pictures of some monsters, and also add in some atributes for them... like... Yunaleska has a weakeness to White Magic, not as in cure... But as in Holy is SUPER on her, it takes seconds with full Aeons, and the Spell Holy =P hehe, any ways, yeah... stuff like that might be helpfull for the 10 mil HP fights....
This is a very good job you've done here. But I think you can do better than this by giving detail for the international version. As you know, the NA version is incomplete(no dark aeon and Penanace).Be perfect.
First I have to say that all the crosslinking, sorting, and comment features are fantastic. It is the perfect design for this kind of site.
My suggestion is to classify monsters by their class as well. So that in "Unlocked at the Monster Arena by capturing 4 of each wizard species" for example, the "wizard" would link to a list of all the wizard enemies.
Hey, first i want to tell how great this site is, but i'm missing the Dark Eeons. And how am i suppost to use Yojimbo's special attack Zanmato? How manny gil do i have to give him.
Ps: I'm from Holland, so my Englisch may be al littele off..
The dark aeons are missing because they are only available in the European version, not the international version. This site seems to be about the international copy of FFX. However, for Zanmato, you increase the chance of Yojimbo doing it by having him in overdrive. The more gil you pay him, the more likely he is to do it. usually pay 10 000 + for a decent chance.
Hi, Just referring to the post above, by FFXFREAK: the international version and the european versin both have the dark aeons.
Also, for Yojimbo, I always pay him 1 gil, and I was fighting at the monster arena (against a Stratoavis) and he performed Zanmato normally every turn (I tested this for 4 battles).
He sometimes also takes a turn without me paying him anything - but rarely performs Zanmato in these situations (only 2 times so far)
i have played ffx , but i came up with a problem: to get auron's ultimate weapon: you have to put the sword in the statiue, no problem here, but then, thouth the glyph, then it says in the game: "it won't open" how come? is it because im to weak, ability or beacause of standard grid play?
tnx, and sorry baut my englisch, im from belgium
Responding to "rebelrider"'s post, you need to possess the celestial mirror to open the glyph. Win the cloudy mirror in the chocobo race, and then go to Macalania Woods to turn it into the Celestial Mirror.
you must have the ceslestial weapon in order to be able to touch the glyph has nothing to do with strengh or grid system, go to calam ,beat the chocobo trainer and she`ll give it to you and then go to macania forest and charge it up there with the hidden tree/glowing tree above the forest after completing the side quest of fiding the womens missing husband and child
but you might need the Celestial Mirror to open it. I never had this problem before but I always had the celestial mirror before I got any ultimate weapons.
First off al this a super site!!details detail detail!!!GreatBit now iv'e got a Q:Where can i get auto-phoenix??that's the only problem that o have with ffx!!!Plz Help me??
Thomas...
and by the way keep up the good work!
First off i would like to say, it's one awesome site, and it's helped me out alot in finding most of the secrets in the game, but one more big help would be to add a section on Customizing and Aeon Abilities. Like i would like just for someone to stat which Customize need how much of what(same with aeon abilities), that would help alot, thanks
Hiya
I downlaoded this page off the net cuz it was the best that was around here, and my internet got cut off for a while :(
while being without internet yet having this site I was missing a couple off things tho which will be stated below also with 1 or 2 corrections :p
Keep up the great work man, it really rox, nice look to it, good info, although some personal input would have been nice like how you fight and think about certains battles
Excuses for the huge post in advance, and if ya see typo's here, ignore em :p
Maybe something for a hint/tips section:
all require being in monster area and having unlocked alot already :p
Easy xp:
If possible equip an armor with auto-phoenix or you will be casting alot off life's
equip a weapon with triple AP, triple overdrive and overdrive -> ap
stock up with phoenix downs before starting ( depending on howmany you got left, you will get about 10-20 hits in with auto-haste
2 overdrives on comrade and one on stoic ( the one you're gonna attack with )
then battle against Don Tonberry with that one character, and see your slvl's grow ( you can flee when he is not doing karma anymore )
Easy Spheres:
when you unlocked your break damage limit, fight against Fafnir ( kottos will work aswell although he counters attacks ) using atleast ONE extract attack
instant 20 spheres ( 40 if you overkill ) unless its a rare drop then only 1 or 2 :(
if you didnt learn the extract abilities you can buy extract stuff from the shop
Easy Gil:
after unlocking break damage limit One-Eye seems a pretty good monster to gain gil from (about 50-100k per kill)
unlimited unlike that smelly mimic
Also, Sleep Sprout seems like a good choice if you think One-Eyes die too slow :p plus its a ncie place for gathering teleport spheres which no matter how high you are you will always want
Easy Tidus Overdrive unlocking:
cant wait to get all Tidus's overdrives?
when you get a triple overdrive weapon ( preferably 2 )
put overdrive mode on victor on 2 characters
this will allow you an overdrive each battle (tested vs species conquests)
entrust the overdrive from characters other then tidus to him, overdrive it, and build up the overdrive count very quickly this way
easy xp items:
before unlocking ultma buster ( which can be a b*tch )
Th'uban is very easy to beat with Anima there is always the same patarn it follows and a ver easy way to protect yourself against it
Preperations:
preferably weapons with triple overdrive
put overdrive gauge on comrade
you NEED entrust
- Grand summon anima
- Overdrive anima
- Th'uban casts condemn > attack > cast rainbow
- dispell anima
- either your turn again or Th'uban casts protect
- if Th'uban didnt cast protect yet he will now
- wait for Convergance to hit a character
- other 2 will power overdrive
- if Yuna got hit > entrust from 1 of the 2 other characters
- skip till Yuna again
- repeat from start untill Th'uban is dead
he only has 3mil life so should take about 3 times on a "powerfull " anima
Nice weapon droppings:
Ultima Buster - very easy if you have yer mag def on 255 as he casts Ultima ALOT one char with 255 def is advisable
Missing:
- on weapons page, where the weapons can be found / dropped
- a Spells section?!?
- a Blitzbal section?!?
- Spheregrid maps: pal and pan ( they aint the same )
- Warp spheres in omega, they wont be reachable after defeating omega weapon afaik
- EXACT locations of monsters in area's like -south -north etc because they wotn be all over the place
- there are 5 possible ways to get Zanmoto off Yojimbo, calcs are somewhere on the net, seem to have lost em
- note on Qactuar: only spawns after activating a cactuar stone by pressing square
- note on magic urn as requested ion the magic urn post
- Smilies in posts :p
- Note at 5 of all creatures capture, unlocks clear sphere's at shop
- Note killing Dark Ixion disables lightning dodging
- note on bribe, it being random + having 50% chance off success
Faulty:
Life on Omega Weapon ISNT 99999 its way more
Varuna and wraith really dont drop magic spheres
the "order" in omega ruins is b.s. there isnt any, if there were hunting for monsters would have been way too easy
Malboro's also spawn in cavern of the stolen fayth
Nidhogg spawns in cavern of stolen fayth, as they need to be caught for that area, duh
"bugs":
Anima and Yojimbo are hardly ever hit by ironclad
birds in chocobo racing fly in weird ways
drenger its not a bug go to attributes and see there agility yojimbos and animas are like 255 when u get them oh by the way they might of just been that way cuz my yunas stats are all 200+
I will also add a link with a nice excel file soon, to help with "hunting" you can note down howmuch you caught etc onthere and when using it in excel it you can easily adjust it for your on perposes
more details about that later ( it aint completely done yet and I finished all the gathering so cba to do it atm :p )
Thanks to DrSlice for a GREAT webpage and thanks to Squaresoft for yet another GREAT game ( god damned where did the hours go *cough* 400 *cough* )
questions always welcome just psot em here, I will check for update every now and then
will someone please answer my ques. i need to kill the monster before i get yuna back !!!!! is it true that you can have other people learn how to summon
Nope! You must kill the monster by yourself. I would suggest you have Lulu learn the -aga spells and have beef up Wakka a lot. Make sure you avoid the Breath attack. If hit, use an Al Bhed potion via Rikku.
to get dark matter you can bribe Land Worms that you find Inside Sin for 200,000 gil. If your low on cash you can fight creatures in the monster arena some of them drop weapons that are worth 50,000-150,000 gil. It's the best way to make fast cash. Also, you can fight the Land Worms in the monster arena from Inside Sin and bribe them.
i trained so much that I killed all of the end bosses so freakin easily. i killed sins fins in one hit sinspawn genais in one hit and sin in two hits--no aeons either. i also kill ultima weapon in one hit and omega weapon in two. I took out seymour omnis in two hits also.
i compiled my Al Behd dictionaries from other memory cards and i just wanna know, when you do that do the ones that i got from the memory card dissapear from the game?
I think it adds on. for example, if you had primers number 1,2,4,5,9 and you compiled from a memory card that has 1,3,4,6,7 then I think you will add numbers 3,6 and 7 to your list. (so now you have 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 9.)
Me and my girlfriend love this site, we use it together with the split infinity FAQ to get the most info with the least amount of effort :P
And I must say, even though this database has some small errors, it comes pretty damned close to perfect! and the ease of use is astounding, I love it, you should be coding stuff for cash because you've got the whole "ease of use" idea down to a science :)
The best and most helpful site so far, but...the most important aspect of the game for me is the items, and, when trying to find out how many Amulets I need to give Armor the Pickpocket ability...no information, and in fact, you say that Amulets don't in fact do anything for customizing, which is just plain wrong. I really wish this part of the site was accurate, because if it was, this place would be a godsend and allow for me to achieve the much desired personal perfect. Please continue to work on this.
The problem with the items not showing the correct customization abilities has been fixed.
For all those that tried to inform me via the feedback form on the front page, my ISP has taken it down for some reason. I'm still trying to sort it out with them. For now, keep up the comments - they've been very helpful.
THIS IS A GREAT SITE AND FFX IS AN AWESOME GAME. THE ONLY THING THAT GETS ON MY SKIN IS BREAKING HP LIMIT ITS SO STUPID YOU NEED A WEAPON TO EXCEED 9999

your website is pwnzors, but its missing some stuff
but its awesome anyway.
and you shuld come back and update it.
btw, theres a armor for tidus called buckler that has magic counter ability, but your site lists it as only having 1 empty slot.
Is it possible to use a magic not only 1 character? Forexample, I would like to use curaga not only 1 character, or thundara not only 1 foe. (like in ff7)
pls helpme....i cant find the sixth cactus on cactuar mini game to obtain rikku's mercury sigil..it says that it is stuck on a chest but i cant find where the chest is...so please healp me...
This website is really good! Very comprehensive.
Perhaps to improve further put pictures of bosses and locations to help with some of the more complicated locations?
Even so this website is a big help!
Nice website.
It has all the factual details that you need you need to be successful in this game.
Thanks for taking your time and effort to give us this amazing site.
You should add a section about blitzball, like where to find all the different players and what their stats are. This is just a suggestion. Other than that this is an awesome website. Has everything I need to know about this game.
Hi there I just wondered about the Dark Aeons (not sure they're availible as enemies other than in the international version of FFX) will there ever be any information on any of them on this site?
It doesn't appear that the good doctor ever intends to actually list all the content that got left out of the crippled version of the game (I can't help but think of it that way, sorry...). Which is fair enough I suppose, if that's the version he has to work with.
I'd be interested in seeing a full detailing on all that content, and have got it all recorded myself (I have lists and tables on paper here just like on this site, that I recorded myself as I played; it's gotten to the stage where I know this game like the back of my hand, heheh...), even if it meant a seperate section to make explicit note of the fact that the things mentioned here only appear in 'x' version of the game.
I grid-maxed all of my characters, so they all run 255 in every stat (including luck), keep them all at about 1500 mp, and filled the rest of the grid with Hp nodes, so my characters all have about 70k health unbuffed.
At that point the dark aeons would be laughable, though I usually kill them long ebfre reaching that stage, usually by way of the Wakka-Wacker spinning vortex of death.
Like that also, the fastest and easiest source of dark matter is farming pennance arms; with the right buffing you can mitigate his standard obliteration attack down to a barely noticable 3000 damage or so, and very rarely have to heal at all, leaving you full time to harvest arms, and throw a heal here or there in your spare turns.
If killing him, you just use those spare turns to actually damage the chap instead of skipping or healing. Strat varies slightly for second phase, but not overly much, and I'd love to spell it all out, (my strat is item-free except for mixing, but has in mind maxed stats...), but that's a post for another time... this was just a note to the folk who complain about pennence being killable only by Zanmato... which always felt like cheating to me, to be honest... also no overkill.
your info seems to believe that no armour ability for ribbon exists (which is wrong) i would like to see that added and also when is the earliest in the game it can be obtained... monster drop, customise etc. other than that this site has answered every question for me thanks
I offer my services to any that need help.
Feel free to e-mail me at the above stated address.
Also, I'll be posting about on the site. ^^
Have fun playing FFX.

If you think just ending the game is done with it, you are mistaken.
Thank you for the astounding site.
