Great layout
I love how this place looks. It reminds me of the GUI of Arachne (web browser for DOS) on my old pc running on 16 MHz. And the sorting scripts are useful. And this entire walkthrough even conforms with XHTML. Very impressive!

Your site is awesome! It layout is so handy! I don't have to endlessly scroll down a page to find that i need! It's so convenient! The only thing i havn't founf info on is chokobo but i am still reading some pages on materia. lol. I love the site, keept up the great work!

Is it just me or is materia (except for Knight's of the Round and any "Plus" materia) useless by the time you reach disk 3?

Pretty much. Knights of the Round's only useful purpose is to kill Weapons like Ruby or Emerald. It just laughs in all the other bosses' faces. Granted the materia doesn't entirely kill the last few Final Bosses, but it does make them a little easier.
Anyhow, the materia is only good when you first get them really. For those people who like to rush through the game getting every possible secret (not necessarily just leveling up or anything either).

Yeah, maybe most of the materia is not so useful also before disc 3, and some before disc 2, and some even in disc 1, but... The few which is useful in disc 3 in the most times is essential.
Like... hummmhh: DOUBLE CUT-MASTER

GREAT SITE...jus one thing i didnt find on it
first let me start of by saying that this is a great site. i did not, however, find one thing: leviathan shows up in the materia section as summon but there are no instructions for how to acquire it..im almost positive you kno how to get it, but in the unlikely case that u dont i would b more than happy to help you, just email me. otherwise, this is the only site i ever go to for anything ff7 related, it is VERY good. thank you for having it

Glaring omission, leaving out where to find Leviathan summon materia! The short answer is to complete the pagoda challenge as Yuffie in Wutai. I'll put in a section in Sidequests that should cover it.

The good thing about this site Ive found is that its arranged with hyperlinks making it simple to find exactly what youre after. Unlike other walkthroughs and sites Ive seen it becomes a little frustrating using CTRL+F to find what you want.

i have a problem barret cant learn his final limit but i have catastrophe and his final weapon equipped and i have all his limit three but he wont learn catastrophe, when i give the item to him he sais d.d.d.damn my head hurts. can anyone help?

There is nothing that can prevent or even cure Doom in FF7. The only way to avoid being killed by it is to end the battle either by winning or running away.

defeat ruby weapon EASY!
I found an easy way to defeat the ruby weapon, first you must have cait sith in your party along with his lvl 2 limit break slots ready to go, next have your other 2 chars dead going into the battle so that ruby weapon doesn't kill cait sith with it's sandstorm attack. Also having a fire ring equiped to cait sith prevents a 1 hit ko from its ruby flame attack, and instead you will gain that much ammount of life (4500ish). Now to kill ruby weapon easy, enter the battle with the above requirements, and line up the 3 faces of cait sith with his limit break and BOOM, he's dead. This can be a little difficult to do but trust me, its WAY worth beating him the hard way. Also, when you beat him you will get an item, take that item to kalm and to the far right house, talk to the guy upstairs and he will give you a gold chocobo!

Kill safer Sephiroth in one hit
i killed Sephiroth in 1 hit. know how? have KOTR equiped with MP Turbo. At the start of the battel use debarrier to destroy Sephiroth's WALL. summon KOTR with MP turbo and !BAM! he is dead!

Hello there. At the Cosmo Canyon Inn, in the room with 2 beds and 1 sofa, search near the white pillow on the sofa to find an Elixir. It's not visible. It's "behind" the sofa. I know it's nothing, you can use the "W-Item trick" for them, but... it's a secret, huh?! The man who repairs the buggy, when you talk with him, you have to tell him somthing like "here you are 1000 gil", and then he will tell you about the "bottle on the sofa in the Inn"...
